Storytelling to Change the World – A Message from Rachel Lears

We were super excited to present at the AFT Share My Lesson Virtual Conference on March 25, 2021. In our session, “Storytelling to Change the World and our Students’ Lives” we had the opportunity to share our passion for using film in the classroom. We love it for student engagement, media literacy, visual analysis, content knowledge, and social and emotional learning, and more. We had an awesome session – you can register and watch the full session for free.

In the meantime, Knock Down the House director Rachel Lears recorded this amazing welcome message for educators, sharing her own perspective about her vision for film in the classroom, and what it means to her as a filmmaker and educator. Check it out!
