HEROIN(E)

Heroin(e) chronicles the stories of three remarkable women in Huntington, WV who are working to break the devastating cycle of drug abuse and overdose.  Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Elaine McMillion Sheldon (Hollow) reveals a different side of the fight against drugs -- one of hope.

Thousands of individuals and hundreds of communities have watched Heroin(e) on Netflix and used the Field Guide Blueshift developed to open conversations about opioid addiction in their homes and communities.

In 2018, McMillion will premier RECOVERY BOYS, a feature film about recovery from opioid addiction. We look forward to creating a discussion guide that will encompasses both films, offering perspectives on prevention, harm reduction and treatment as a holistic view to what we can do to fight the opioid epidemic.
