Hearts of Glass

Working in partnership with Jennifer Tennican and a team of academic advisors, Blueshift is creating a screening guide for this important and complex film, weaving together themes of inclusive employment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, innovative food production, and social enterprise.

The film chronicles the first 15 months of Vertical Harvest, a social enterprise in Jackson Hole, Wyoming that seeks to balance being a for-profit business with a non-profit soul. Vertical Harvest is a high-tech vertical hydroponic greenhouse designed to provide fresh produce year-round and offering meaningful, gainful employment to adults with various disabilities.
