We are thrilled that the Doc Academy pilot program is underway as of February 8, 2018!
Pilot teachers, we are asking you to teach at least one film + lesson between now and the end of the school year. As you do, please complete the evaluation to help us learn how to improve the platform and lessons before the national roll-out in the fall. We have $50 gift cards to offer the first 25 people who do.
We hosted a webinar on February 8 to help orient pilot teachers to the pilot and the platform:
- Teaching with Documentary Film, John Golden, ELA teacher and author of Reading in the Reel World: 12:56-18:05
- Conversation with Marty Syjuco, Producer of Almost Sunrise: 18:17-24:52
- Tour of Doc Academy site: 25:58-28:57
- Lesson Descriptions by Doc Academy Teacher Leaders: 28:57-42:00
Evaluation is critical to the success of the pilot. The survey will take 10-15 minutes and your candid feedback will help us get the platform and lessons for the national roll-out in the fall.
A $100 Amazon giftcard is available to thank you for your first evaluation!
